    Automatically refer to a formula

    A1=2, B1=3, C1=A1+B1
    A2=3, B2=3, C2=A2+B2

    Besides autofill by double-clicking on C1, what should I do so as soon as I change C1 to "A1*B1", C2 would be automatically changed to "A2*B2"?

    You still have to double click the cross at the bottom right corner of C1

    Thanks. I was wondering if there's something more advanced than autofill.

    You could convert the data to a table but you'd need column headers for that. Then, when you change a formula, it will automatically change in all the other cells in that column.

    You're welcome. Thanks for the rep.

    If you want to know more about tables, you can Google it or have a look at this comprehensive explanation:

    Thanks. I saw the trick you taught me was mentioned, "a nice feature is that formula is automatically copied down"

    I'm not sure what trick you mean. I think that having consistent formulae in the columns of a table is part of the functionality of a table. Suggest you have a Google around for more information.
