    Locked sheet

I am a newbie to this board as well as a Novice to Excel. With that being said I have a question about locked (protected) sheets. I have simple sheet that has 12 colums, of these 5 of them have formulas that I need to protect from the end user. The end user would like the ability to fill (color) a row once that row is completed. Is there a way to have the sheet locked and still have the ability to color fill the row? Once it sheet is locked the color fill is greyed out. Thanks!

    Re: Locked sheet

If you look at Review tab > Changes group > Protect sheet, you'll find the dialog box has a lot of tick options, including one to allow the user to format cells. Tick that one, and they should be able to change the colour even if the cell is protected.
