Unhappy Copying a subset of another worksheet

Hi everyone! I have two worksheets, one is a subset of the other. Worksheet B (the subset) contains the cell values I need, however, the parameters contained in the worksheet is limited. I would like to extract the full details for the specific cells in Worksheet A. Just to make sure I'm getting my point across: Worksheet B has columns A, B, C, and D. Column A contains the IDs of the data that I need. Worksheet A has columns A-G. Its column A contains an even longer list of IDs, but I only need the ones specified in Worksheet B's column A. On the other hand, I need the data in columns E-G too, which are not included in Worksheet B.

So there. What do I do? Please help. Thank you so much!

    Hi, whattodo,

copy the headers of the complete list of the worksheet A and add the ID right under this, start the Advanced Filter and mark the data set as well as the criteria range and filter in place - that should give you the numbers you searched for (with the additional information).

    Ciao,

    Hi Holger,

Thanks! A follow up though. The IDs are 9-digit numbers, and they're not exactly in consecutive order. So I'd have to tick the checkboxes one by one?

    Hi, whattodo,

So I'd have to tick the checkboxes one by one?
Sounds to me you´re using the Autofilter where the answer is yes if the numbers are not in numerical order and following in a range you may indicate.

If you use the Advanced Filter you enter each number into a row under the responding header. And if you record a macro for this action and slightly work on that (replace the range for the criteria from the recorded range (say Range("A1:G10") to Range("A1").CurrentRegion) any number of items/IDs will be filtered until the first empty row in the criteria range.
