Countdown to a set of dates - Excel 2010

Hi, this is my first post. I need help counting down to a set of dates. Here's what I have and what I'm attempting to do:

    I have today's date in D1.
I have a set of dates in chronological order starting in C11 through C22.
In D2, have a cell that is "Days to Next Event".

    What I'm attempting to do...
In D2, I would like to countdown the days from today's date to the next event starting in C11. THEN, once C11's date has been reached (meaning if you open the spreadsheet a month from now, the date in C11 has passed), I want the count dowsn in D2 to jump to the next event and then countdown those days from today's date to C12. Then once C12's date has passed, I want D2 to countdown the days to C13. I want this to autopopulate every time I open the workbook. then once the date gets to C22, I want it to stop...or just say 0.

I know how to do a datedif countdown but only for 1 date not for a revolving set of dates.

    Please help!!!!

hi there, welcome to the forum. could you add a zero in cell C10 & then do this formula in D2:
    =INDEX($C$10:$C$22,MATCH(D1,$C$10:$C$22,1)+1)-D1

    Format to General if needed
