    Calculate time difference

    Hi,

I would like to be able to calculate the time difference in HH:MM:SS between two times, however, made more difficult by way of taking opening hrs into concideration:

For eg Our hours of support are:-monday to Friday 08:30 to 18:30, Saturday 08:30 to 17:30 and Sunday 09:00 to 17:30.

Therefore, if an incident is logged at 09:00 on Friday and resolved at 10am on Monday the clock starts and 09:00 on Fri ends at 18:30, starts on Saturday at 08:30 ends at 17:30 starts Sunday at 09:00 end s at ...........

    Many thanks for looking

Please see the attachment for example data.

    Re: Calculate time difference

    Hi All,

As you can see from the lack of responses to this thread, it is a tough one.

However, I am now in a position, after shed loads of searching, to help those with the same problem. (courtesy of a very old Barry h thread over on Mr XL)

Basically, our service desk wanted to be able to calculate the time it took to resolve a case but only including working hours which varied each day and including weekends and exclude days like 25 Dec from being included in the calc.

There are loads of threads around for the same thing but only mon - fri between 9 - 5 but it was two and half hours of searching to find this puppy!

Anyway, please find attached a magnificent way of achieving this.
