Simultaneous scrolling of two sheets in the same Workbook

Hi,

I'm new to using Excel and have a small idea that will make my Excel Workbook much more usable.

My workbook has two sheets. One containing main information, the second detailed information.

I would like to have the sheets scroll simultaneously, and if possible, when a row is highlighted in one sheet, it should also be highlighted in the other.

I've seen how synchronous scrolling works with two different workbooks, but am struggling to do so in the same workbook.

Also, I would not want a side-by-side view. The sheets appearing like a normal workgroup, only that row selections and/or scrolling on one sheet should have the same effect on the other sheet(s).

I would greatly appreciate any feedback with regards as how to achieve this.

Try highlighting both of the sheet tabs at the bottom by clicking on the first sheet tab, then Ctrl-Click on the second sheet tab. Once both of the sheet tabs are highlighted then any changes made to the first sheet should also happen to the second sheet. Check the link below for more info.

I'm using Office 2010. Was able to select both sheets, but scrolling isn't synchronous.

I'm actually planning to have the file as is: I'm sharing a workbook which a lot of my colleagues will use from different locations. We are using Office 2007 and 2010.

I want them to be able to open the workbook and automatically have synchronous scrolling between the sheets.

Is this possible? I've Google'd, but haven't found anything yet.

Any input would be much appreciated!
