    Password sheet protection issue

    Hello,

I password protected several sheets within a file I had created, but very, very foolishly disclosed that password to a colleague who then changed and subsequently forgot the new password. Stupid of me, I know.

Is it possible for someone to open the file with admin privileges and reset/change the unknown password to the file? If not, my only alternative is to copy/paste the data structure tab by tab to another file and then rebuild the formulas all over again. I'm very much hoping to avoid that.

    Thank you in advance.

Go here http://www.mcgimpsey.com/excel/removepwords.html and download the "allinternalpasswords.xls" file, open it in excel and enable macros, then open your file you wish to remove the password from, go to add-ins tab and choose remove password. Works for mee on all my files.
