How can i enable a drop down on a list of cells so that you can only choose from a drop down and not type in it?
ie i would like to enable cells so that only a drop down list stating 'Completed' is enabled and nothing else can be typed?
Cheers

Yes thats the one, id like In Progress & Completed as my options
hi LDouble3. you may create a Data Validation by selecting the cell you want, go to Data -> Data Validation -> Data Validation -> Allow: List -> Source:
Completed
if you wish to have an external list, you can also refer the Source to a cell range like A1:A3. you can also explore the other tabs inside the Data Validation window before you press OK. there's an Input Message you can help your users understand what to input & Error Alert to alert them when something else is typed

You can easily edit the example I have attached previously. For reference you can use:

Basically you just need to alter the range via the data validation option to remove the Open option.
