Desperate Noob needs help. Searching columns.

I've tried to figure this out for a while and it's starting to get very frustrating.
As the title says, I'm a noob, so sorry if this is completely redundant. I didn't even know what to search to find my answer on this forum.

    I have two sheets.
On sheet 2, I have a ton of data. Column A has various numbers in each row. I want to search for a specific number and if the number is found I need to copy a number from the same row as that found number and add it to another number on Sheet 1.

So... Search column A for '99'. '99' is found at A42. Add D42 to Sheet1.C15.

    Apologies for nuisance.
    Thank you,
    Ben
