    Hide data

    Hi,

    I have no idea how to do this,

    Please see the attached Excel spread sheet,

    In cell A5, A24,A46 I need to hide the infromation but I need it so that when you click for example january it will give the drop down data,

    Hi, if it was me i would do something like the attached... excel likes data in the example i have done for you, not with gaps etc. ive made your data into a table, and as you enter new data it will grow with it, along with the formulas i put in for you for % margin etc. Tables are good also because you can select a month from the filter list, the have it subtotal, average or a whole range of funtions.I have filtered for March in example and if you go to the design tab,look at the total row check box, this add it to the end of the table.. Hope the example helps what you are trying to get.

    I would hightlight the rows that you wish to hide and then press Shift, Alt & Right Cursor key. This would display a minus sign to the left of the row numbers.

    If you click on the minus sign, you can hide the data and then display again by clicking on the plus sign whilst they are hidden.

    This also works on columns.
