    Exclamation Searching Criteria in a single cell

    Deal All,

    I'm new to this forum so please bare me and my question.

    i'm working in one org my boss given me one store department excel it contains all data in a single cell they are maintaining it since long ago now my job is to take out some data for and analyse it.

    Ex: in one cell data is like this

    WO/56180/28 750 m resved by pragathi pachipala on 12/8/2012 WO/ 56180-27 950m resved by Rajeswara Rao on 12/8/2012 W/O 56193/22 1250 m resved by Narim Ganesh on 13/8/2012 | WO 55899-88 2000m by Asif on 14/8/2012 | Reserved for WO 56180/16 (950m) by Pragathi on 14/8/2012

    Now i want to calculate the count of total meters 750m+950m+1250m+2000m+950m = ?? they are using calculator if they want to count it but i know this is bad practice so now i need to give them this information and i want to make a permanent solution to solve this problem
    Please find attached sample excel and suggest me for a better solution.
    it is very helpful tip for me if one can tell the answer.

    See if this helps. Sums in column H (green), individual lenghts in cells I2:AL70.

    Actually my new proposal is for this time only after we modified like this they use new sheet only so i'm asking only for my easy of job to extract the data from that cell to different cells no problem i can do manually if any modifications after doing this. and how can i calculate "Laenght" cells on every row.
