Addition Issue

Hi again, hope someone will be able to help me because i don't know if what i'm about to ask will make sense.

I have a table with many nested if statements and they in turn display values. i made a plain and simple =sum(i17:146) hoping that it would add up those values but instead it just shows a 0 value
What am i doing incorrectly? No one was able to help me with my last post i'm hoping this one can be solved....

there needs to be a letter in front of your second number in your sum formula. i.e. =sum(i17:i146)

Hi, yes that was a mistake on my part. the formula is correct in my sheet. the nested if statement looks as follows: =IF(AND(L17="25mm",B17>2400),"4",IF(AND(L17="25mm",B17>1900),"4",IF(AND(L17="25mm",B17>1400),"4",IF(AND(L17="25mm",B17>1100),"4",IF(AND(L17="25mm",B17>900),"4",IF(AND(L17="25mm",B17>601),"2",IF(AND(L17="25mm",B17>0),"2",IF(AND(L17="50mm",B17>2400),"4",IF(AND(L17="50mm",B17>1500),"4",IF(AND(L17="50mm",B17>900),"4",IF(AND(L17="50mm",B17>700),"2",IF(AND(L17="50mm",B17>0),"2",""))))))))))))

so in each cell it will return a value.

the formula in c49: =SUM(i17:i49)

but this returns a 0 value

"4" is not a value (number) it is text

Take the quotes out of the 4s,
ie
=IF(AND(L17="25mm",B17>2400),4...
etc

Thanx alot. i wouldve been tearing hair out for such a simple thing as removing "" :P Really appreciate it.
