How to jump to the last cell containing data in a row or column containing blanks?

Is there a way (keyboard shortcut preferably) to jump to the last data cell in a row or column containing blanks?... and selecting the traversed cells eg by holding Shift down?

Ctrl+arrow jumps only to the next data/blank boundary. I've searched various threads and sites for what I thought would be a simple keyboard shortcut, but suspect there isn't such thing.

    Any help appreciated.

Ctrl+Shift+End goes to the last cell of the entire data. I would like to jump straight down to the last data cell in the current column only (again, column contains blank cells so Ctrl+Down won't work).

A workaround is Ctrl+Shift+End then Shift+Left back to one column, but if the last data cell in the column is at, say row 3000, but other columns are 5000 rows, then it requires 3 steps: Ctrl+Shift+End, Shift+Left as required, then Ctrl+Shift+Up (or without the Shifts to just navigate).

Simple enough, but I was wondering if there's a one-step shortcut to reduce the chance of messing up data?

There is no keyboard shortcut to go to the last cell of a column or row if the column or row contains empty cells. The Ctrl-Shift-DownArrow will always stop before the next empty cell in the column.

If you want to select all cells in column B, but there are blank cells in column B, you might be able to use column A as a helper, if it does not have any empty cells. With the cursor in A1, hit Ctrl-Shift-DownArrow > Shift-RightArrow (now columns A and B are selected) > Shift-Enter (now the last cell in column B has the focus) > Shift-RightArrow (Now only column B is selected) > Enter (now column B is selected, with the focus in B1).

Similarly, if column C has all cells populated, and you want to select all cells in column B, but column B has blank cells, start in C1 > Ctrl-Shift-DownArrow > Shift-LeftArrow > Shift-Enter > Shift-LeftArrow > Enter
