Angry GOLF scoring - pulling values to new cells and sorting based on value, etc....

    Workbook attached!

What I am trying to do....

    1) a) I want to create a leader board on this Sheet of who won the first event. The score information is tabulated on Event 1 sheet and what I want is to pull the data to Event Winners Sheet. Organizing the teams, at the top should have the lowest score(team Joe and Andy) (cell Y47:Y59).

    b) If there is a tie in total round score, say two 64 (team 1 and 2), then the team that scored the lowest on the hardest handicapped hole (H45) would win in the tiebreaker. If they tied on that hole then it would go to the 2nd hardest hole (handicap #2 hole) hole 13 (cell R45)

    2) I want to highlight the score on a hole if it comes from player a or b. For example, Sam's score on hole one was better than his partners Andy E:26 vs E:27, so since Sam's score is playing I want E:47 to highlight in Red. On Hole two, they both scored the same Net Score, 5 and 5 so I want no formating to occuring. Then on hole 3, Andy scored a 4 and Sam a 5, so since Andy's score was lowest I want it to highlight with Blue.

    Thanks for your help!

Regarding count back, what if back 9 score have same value?

Count back total of each 3 holes from 18th or something?

Identical scores is close to impossible, actually two golfers will rarely have the same total score, and same score for the first 4 hardest holes. So the formula could check the 4 hardest holes after it checks the total score and that would be sufficient

If your are looking for formula solution, wait for the other to come in.
    I'm not good at formulas.

See if this gets you started.

I have might have a problem with the conditional formatting (highlighting) you ask for as I only have access to 2003 at present.

This workbook doen't have the C/F, see if it does the calculations you need first.

Not as bad as I thought it might be.

See if this conditional formatting suits you.

that Tiebreaker solution doesnt quite work. It needs to determine a winner in this order (lower score the better)...
    1) Total Score
    2) Hardest Hole score
    3) 2nd Hardest Hole score
    and so on...

For example... (Name, Total Score, Hardest Hole score, 2nd Hardest Hole Score)
    John , 74, 4, 5
    David, 76, 3, 4
    Scott, 74, 4, 6

Since John and Scott both have lower total scores than David, David gets 3rd place. John and Scott both scored 4's on the hardest hole so it moves on to the 2nd tiebreaker. The 2nd hardest hole scores are John 5 and Scott 6 therefore the leadboard should automatically read...

    John 74
    Scott 74
    David 76

    Any one have a solution?

Unless there is some other mistake, isn't that what it does? ...
See Sheet1 for two explanations of the same thing.
