Hello & Need help pulling data from 3 sheets into 1 sheet via onClick function.

    Hi Everyone.

I'm looking to try to put some sanity in a bunch off information and make it easier for our field team to find informaiton. We have a bunch of dev kits with various parts and the related software and required documentation etc. Problem is when a customer calls they give us a part number and there isn't a lookup of what's all in the kit and what documents we should send.

I've created the attached and am looking to use the Chip page as an index. From there if you click the chip name say "2345" it would show you a detailed listing pulled from the attached sheets.
ie all the sub components on the parts page along with all the documents and SW etc needed so that when we support a customer everything we need to know they have or need is on one page. so pull from three tabs and display the information either on a pop up or a new temporary tab.

Hopefully I've described what I want ok. It would be nice to have a onClick function that would grab the information and populate a window. I can't seem to find any onClick function in excel 2007 however.

It will be good if you populate a sample output sheet so we can understand what you need to be output.

Also, will you have a button on your page, so that when you click on the checkbox in column D and then click on the button, the data will populate in a new tab?

    Thanks for the quick response!
I've attached an updated example2 file that shows what I'd like to get this to do. reading more I see that excell doesn't have a onclick option really.
Id like to figure out how to populate the page when someone just clicked the chip number say 2345 which is what the example output would result from. However the checkbox option and or button on the page are both doable. Being a novice to excel not sure what would work best. I've been playing with the INDEX funtion in excel but that doesn't appear to do what I want it to do and limits things to the first column and or first row which the way the data is setup would require a huge change.

Optionally if they click on the dev kit or the dev board kit part number and then only show the items for that kit would be wonderful but again its beyond me.
The more I read the more I think doing this in excel isn't a great idea. I have access to MSFT access but have no idea there either and that would require some interface i believe for everyone to use.

Thanks again and in advance for any help provided. I'm new to the board but I am encouraged by reading the great responses here. Not sure why I didn't find this site earlier!

Ok still struggling with this. I've been looking and I can get a hyperlink to work to a new tab. It's going to be a real pain cutting up all the data and making a separate worksheet to link to though. Anyone have any suggestions on the original??

    Kind Regards

Looks like this issue is too difficult to solve here.
