Well, thanks for the reply at least. I am new to VBA and I'm trying to learn how to program code for excel. Everything I've looked at, inlcuding books are eithe too beginner ("Hello World") or too difficult to grasp. Thanks for you posts and help anyhow.
Sebastien.
Would a formula solution interest you?
There's a workbook that wil do this at https://www.box.com/shared/nqljsd3nlu
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
A formulas solution? I'm not sure what you mean but sure. I thought some kind of algorithm might be the solution but I haven't come across one yet and I'm still new to it all. It's a learning process that has proved to be more frustrating than I thought. Actually, I was hoping, for now, to find a code or a couple of codes/programs that I could hybridize to do what I wanted to do in excel without having to get a degree in computer science. But as I'm finding, it's not that easy. I tried looking at peoples coding to see if I could understand what is going on, and clearly I'm confused. lol. Currently, I'm trying to find a good book on VBA programing for Excel 2007 that is not too basic but not way over my head. Most books I've come across right now have a lot to do with creating forms and putting buttons on them but not how to do hard coding for excel, specifically excel 2007. I have some experience with computer programing but only in basic and I mean basic from way back! If someone could recommend a good book as a starter that would be great! and yes I'd like to look at a formula solution if it's easy enough to understand.
Thanks.
