I have values like 7,4,3,4,7 in a given column.
How to avoid duplicates from this?

Hi,
Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.
As this is your first post I'll change it for you on this occasion but please remember for the future.

Does it have to be a formula?
Or: Remove duplicates under the Data Tab
You'll want to use advanced filtering (in the Data tab of the ribbon). From here you can select "Unique records only".

Hi,
Use either Data Advanced Filter - Filter the list in place and tick the unique option. Or Advanced Filter and Copy to Another Range - again with the unique option ticked.
you can use the "remove duplicate value" option, if you are using Excel 2007
@hitesh
Indeed you can. Thank you for that reminder.
That's one of the disadvantages of growing up with 97/2003 and never changing one's thinking.
If you need to retain your original data try this ...
With your Data in A2 Down
In C2, Drag Down
Formula:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
This will remove the duplicate values and sort the result ascending.
Note
This ignores text and blanks in the list
