Hello,
I'm trying to reference another cell in the middle of the number that is already in the cell.
So as an example:
if A1 was 9990000_____00360000000
and C1 was 9001.
How can I make the "blank" the number from C1?
Thanks,
Rob

I was looking for this as well and it works great, but can you tell me how to format that referenced cell. I am inserting a percentage in the middle of text that explains the percent but when I insert the reference I get 0.0523145 instead of 5.2% even though the cell referenced is formatted propertly. Thanks so much!
Perhaps..
="9990000 "&ROUND(C1*100,1)&"% "&"00360000000"

Life's a spreadsheet, Excel!
Say thanks, Click *
Thanks so much. That definitely got me on the right track. The sequence that made it perfect was ="9990000 "&ROUND(C1*100,1)&"% 003600000"
I didn't need the third & or the additional ".
Thanks again!
Judyj,
