    Conditional formatting by the row

I have a row of election results by precinct. Five candidates. I want the winner of each precinct to pop up green or red or whatever.
I can do this for one row, and one row only. The remaining 2,340 seem to need hand formatting and that would be ridiculous, right?

    Mac Office 2011

I'm using top 10 (reduced to top 1), but when I try to extend the formatting with the painter, it only picks out the single top number in the selected multi-row array, not each row. I've tried formulas, but that doesn't seem an easy way to pick the top of five possible without some brutal formula building.

    What am I missing?
