Hi All

I have imported text from another program into excel. When I try to use formulae on the text they dont work. e.g Vlookup and countif. I am definitely using the correct syntax. How can I resolve this problem? Please see attached.

It is hard to comment without examples. Maybe attach your spreadsheet? Off the cuff, you may be trying to compare text with numbers ("12" is different than 12), or you have some garbage text in your cells, such as extra spaces, so you should try =TRIM or =CLEAN.
