I have sensitive data in 2 columns (say G and H) which I have grouped so that I can hide and/or unhide. Can I restrict some users from unhiding either by password or any other method. Thanks

oops, sorry. Have now changed. As a "old bloke" from way back, Ihope you will forgive me.
you can select all the columns that can be edited then
-format cell - untick the "lock cell option" -
then you can protect sheet -untick the "select locked cell"
