    Excel 2010 Irregularities

    I'm totally stumped....

If I open an exisiting workbook straight from the file icon itself my PERSONAL.XLSB and Personal.xlsx do not automatically open even though they are both in the XLSTART folder. Now if I open Excel straight away, I do not get a new blank worksheet but my PERSONAL files are open and hidden. So I have two issues to resolve.

    1. Open a new blank worksheet when Excel is opened directly.
    2. Have my PERSONAL files open automatically when I open an existing Excel file directly.

I have scoured the web and many, many, many forums with no working solutions found.

Please help as I have macros that I want to run when I open a file directly.

I doubt if you actually have a personal.xlsx, that format cannot support macros.
    Hope that helps.
