Excel 2007 : Date format

Hi,

I have selected the cell format to short date, but have trouble in entering the date as 30062012. I need it to display 30/06/2012 but its giving me an error "###############" It must be negative because it is not too long.

Please help

You need to enter the '/' between day/month/year when entering date.
