Is it possible to lookup for a date format?

    Hi Gurus,

Is it possible to have a lookup table with all possible date formats and assign them to the specific products? I am building a product dating sheet and I need a formula that looks up for a date format and applies that format to the cell. Is it something excel can handle?

    Thanks

A formula can only return a result, not a format, so you would need a macro to do this (sorry, I can't help with that).
