Hello,
To allow for future additional tabs, I have headers on a "REF SHEET" that correspond to the fish tab names in the workbook. This works great except for one thing I didn't foresee. If the user changes the order of the tabs, it shifts the header names on the "REF SHEET", which then makes the data in the columns no longer linked to the original header name. There will be many more tabs, so I cannot have this.

BTW, the columns that do all the fetching and sorting of the tab names is on the "REF SHEET" columns AI - AK.
Any ideas on how to permanently 'link' the data in these columns to the original headers, so that the data shifts with the header changes? Or conversely, have the headers not shift when the tab order is changed. One thing for certain, I will have no control of the future order of the tabs (or their names). The person in my office who will be using this sheet is not disciplined, so I have to 'dummy proof' the process.
Maybe I'm over-thinking this, but I just can't come up with a solution.
Thanks ahead of time.![]()
