    Too many arguments w/ formula

    =if(03=0,Average(AF3,AW3,BN3),AVERAGE(O3,AF3,AW3,BN3),if(Af3=0,average(o3,aw3,bn3),AVERAGE(O3,AF3,AW3,BN3),if(aw3=0,AVERAGE(O3,AF3,BN3),AVERAGE(O3,AF3,AW3,BN3),if(bn3=0,average(af3,aw3,o3),AVERAGE(O3,AF3,AW3,BN3)))))

^^^ is what I have so far. I'm trying to take the average of four numbers, but sometimes one or more of them can be zero. Is there an easy way to have formulas ignore cells if their value is zero?

    Thanks

    Try:

    =SUM(O3,AF3,AW3,BN3)/((O3<>0)+(AF3<>0)+(AW3<>0)+(BN3<>0))
Never use Merged Cells in Excel
