Autocomplete from List on another sheet

    Good morning,

I have two worksheets, one called Order and one called Catalogue.

In Catalogue I have a list of Items and their price.

In Order I need to enter values that corresponde to items in the Catalogue sheet.

I tried setting up Data Validation, using the =Catalogue!$A:$A as the source of a List, however this does not autocomplete from the list as I type.

I realise I can simply use rows directly below the Catalogue, and then hide the actual catalogue rows, but as I edit the catalogue constantly this is a problem.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks.

So do you want to force the user to only enter values that match something in the Catalogue, or do you want to check which item (if any) the entry on Order matches?

I guess the real question is... can I get a cell to Autocomplete from a list of items that ISN'T located in the cells directly above where the entry is being made?
