Colour coding a cell which is "out of date"

    Hi guys,

In a bit of a pickle... i'll try and explain it in relative plain English (wish me luck!)

I have a worksheet which needs to calculate items which are out of time perameters.

This consists of an initial date in (for example) B4, then a formula to calculate 6 weeks on from the initial date (=B4+42).

Can i then add a formula to this cell to make it red if it becomes out of date?

Oh and i am rubbish - so please be gentle!

    Thanks guys

    HI

You can do conditional formatting. =now()>b4+42 then set the fill to red.

    Use conditional formatting...

Only Cells that contain --> cell value --> less than --> today()
    Life's a spreadsheet, Excel!
