count if problem i think!!!

hey all this is my first post not sure if its in the correct place but here goes.

i have a single workbook with about 15/20 pages. i have page 1 feeding page 2 with info. my problem is on page 3 i need a list of info from one cell with its quantity from another cell to feed another cell in another sheet.

so my question is. is there a formula or way to feed cell 4 on sheet 3 info from from cell 2 on sheet 2 with the info but get its quantity from cell 2?

i currently have cell 2 on sheet 2 running a countif to count from cell 4 on sheet 3 but that doesnt take into account the quantity info as i may have 4 items booked under one name on the list but only counts it once.

I guess you can use lookup formula here.. but would be better if you can post your sample workbook with dummy data. thanks.

ok dude i can do but it is a huge file at the mo.

right ok dude. i have had to take out a lot of sheets to upload this but the sheets i need are there.

there is a macro with the password engine all lower case.

so ae01 data input sheet feeds ae 01 data sheet the list sheet feeds ae01 data input sheet. now i need ae 01 data sheet to feed ae 01 table data in such a way that the tables have the correct info and
quantities.

all the links are in the tables for what info is needed. i just need the quantity of the count if to be counted from the quantity column in ae 01 data sheet.

you can see on the ae 01 table data sheet that i have pivot tables that is something i am trying to get my head around

have you tried to change the "summarize data by" from "count" to "sum"?

edit: right click on the cell and select "summarize" then "sum"

can i have 1 pivot table with 2 column taking data from the same place ie 2 mto column to show 2 diff mtos?

you can have the same column twice, but when i tried to change 1 to count, the other changed too, so it looks like they will both always be based on the same.

1 way around that would be to add a column in your data, and reference the QTY data, then add the new column to the PT
