I am trying to set up a spreadsheet in Excel 2007 that grabs data from an external website and imports it into a spreadsheet in excel. I would then like this spreadsheet to refresh itself at a certain point each day with the new data from the website. The Web Query function is the obvious choice (as far as I can see) but the main problem is that it is a secure site which requires a log in after the page expires. I have all the neccessary credentials to access the website. I have looked into making a macro that automatically sends login details to a website but I am yet to successfully get one to run. I am also unsure as to how to tie in a working version of this macro with a Web Query and, if this is the best way around this problem?

I'm a novice to coding and I've only ever used Excel for simple spreadsheets/graph creation but I've been thrown in at the deep end a little bit here. Nevertheless, I am more than up for a challenge.

Please could anyone with any advice/experience in this point me in the right direction
