    VLOOKUP vs IF statement?

I have attached a workbook that I'm working on. WD working2.xls The problem I have now is with the "pallet size" section of the "Data Working" sheet. I want to make a formula that will determine which Pallet to use. The requirements for pallet selection are; 1.) Length of longest box, [a box cannot hang over a pallet] ie. 0-72" box can fit on a 72" pallet, but a 73" box must go onto a 96" pallet. Now here is the tricky part. 2.) The width of the pallet. If there are more than 30 boxes we use a 48" wide pallet. If there 30 or less boxes we use a 32" "narrow" pallet. I have a table on the sheet that has the weights of all the different sized pallets. Using a VLOOKUP formula the "Pallet Size" section will pick the appropriate weight. Should I break the table into Two tables, one with Wide Pallets and one with Narrow Pallets? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded your workbook. Where does the formula go ie which cells do you want your formula to reference? It isn't clear

The offending cell is J9. I haven't had time to update the thread for a couple of hours, I figured out the Pallet width solution by splitting the Pallet size table into a Wide and Narrow pallet table. Now I am left with an IF statement that is as long as my arm and is just slightly off.

K15 is an Integer. I think I'm pretty close but could use an extra set of eyes on it. Thanks Km
