    Conditional formatting in multiple cells

I have the following formula for conditional fomatting

    =IF(OR(B3="2",B3="2.5"),IF(BW3 < 809,TRUE,FALSE),FALSE)

The problem is that when I copy it down the rows, it still refers to row 3. What I want is for eg. conditional formatting for cell BW10 to check cell B10 and so on..

    Hi EsKay!,

Can you create a Helper Column and put your formula at the top of this column and drag it down? This would change the answer based on the row number. Then CF this helper row.

    Does this help?

Thanks MarvinP - it works with a helper column. But I wonder why the row numbers are not copied down?

If you need a better answer you need to attach a sample workbook. It is hard to see what you really want without an example.
