Hey guys I had a search but couldnt find anything that worked for me here.

So i have a workbook with quite a few sheets. (100+ when finished) I know this sounds bad, but every product has different info and layout so it cant be common. as new stock comes in I need to add that serial # to the master sheet tying it to an internal company serial#.

Once the serial# is typed in manually, Id like the operator to be able to select their product type from a drop down list. and once selected from the drop down: either that cell is a hyperlink to the appropriate sheet or else the adjacent cell looks up the hyperlink from a reference list.
I have a table of the products, and in the next coll i have hyperlinks to their sheets.
but:
when I lookup the link from the dropdown cell I only get text. If I hyperlink the text I get an error as it is only the friendly text of the link. Ive tried all the UDFs I could find for extracting urls from links but they didnt work. presumably because the link is not to an external website.

Also when i make a validation drop down list of the table of links, they still only come through as text.
