I would like to see if anyone can help me with figuring how to count the number of people that are scheduled during certain hours. the Monday column is MERGED - bad idea. if you need that feature for beautification of layout, then use centred-across-selection formatting instead. avoid merged cells; they are inimical to smooth functioning of formulae.

CSE, aka Array aka { }, formulae are confirmed with CONTROL+SHIFT+ENTER.
Replace commas ( , ) with semicolons ( ; ) in formulae, if your locale setting demands.

I don't see the need for SUMPRODUCT().
