Sum month columns into years

I have a table in excel (53 rows x 133 columns) that summarizes emissions by month for various chemicals. I want to summarize the emissions for each year. Rather than using sum, I attempted a pivottable with no success. Any assistance? The basic layout (with many more additional columns for previous months) is provided below:

You get better help if you post an Excel-example of your workbook, without confidential information.

Make sure the workbook demonstrates your desired results if possible, or just highlight the cells you're trying to fix.

Use BEFORE/AFTER sheets if that helps make it clearer.
