VLOOKUP - Right function to use ?

Hello Excel Experts,

Looking for some help which I am sure is a piece of cake (for you)

See the attached workbook.

Excel 2003 - 3 work sheets ... not sure if I need 3.

Sheet 1 - Main page
Sheet 2 - for the purpose of Data validation list
Sheet 3 - for the purpose of the VLOOKUP .. can it be combined with sheet 2 ?

The entire column of C starting @ C4 will be the start point.
Go to C4 use drop down and select a name - getting details from validation list sheet 2

What I want to do is ... no mater what name is selected in C4:+ I want to auto populate their managers name in column B respetive cell (see sheet 3 for 2 lists - can we just combine all on sheet 2)

I believe the best way to do this is VLOOKUP but can not seem to get it to work.
