Hello,
I have a list of vertical numbers that gets placed in segments
eg.
#=Segment
11-27=7
8-10=6
4-5=4
2-3=3
In the solution cell, I would like to match a number automatically with a segment, how do I do that?
eg. if cell C39 = 11 (which is the #)
Then I would like C41 = 7 (which is the segment)
I have attached a sample, and the highlighted area is where I would like to plug the equation instead of manually selcting.

Thank you for your reply, for row 41 I essentially matched what row39 displays with the segment on top. eg for E41, I look at E39 which =6, and for the E column 6(E24) falls in segment 3 horizontally. Would this process be possible with a formula?

just FYI for those trying to help solve this problem - this is not a mathematical operation. it is from a Personality Assessment test called DiSC assessment - http://discprofile.com/whatisdisc.htm. the scale for each element (D, I, S, C) varies, without any "mathematical" basis. it is scientific, although the science is psychological / behavioural...

CSE, aka Array aka { }, formulae are confirmed with CONTROL+SHIFT+ENTER.
Replace commas ( , ) with semicolons ( ; ) in formulae, if your locale setting demands.
