Very easy to be honest, but my mind is slow at the moment.
Cell A4 has
27/06/2012 09:49
Cell I4 has
27/06/2012
I want cell H4 to show just 09:49. It derives its value from a web query so how can H4 be somthing like A4-I4?
Thanks

As you say, use =A4-I4 and format H4 as "hh:mm"

cheers richard. the formatting thing is what i needed to do.
Out of interest is there a way of keeping past data values on the chart? The x axis is time so say past data for the last 2 hours?
like I said, this is a web query so the data does not stay int he spreadsheet.
Thanks
Hi,
You could change the background refresh to refresh every 120 minutes rather than the default background refresh.
Problem is that I want data to be put in every 5 seconds (i have a macro for this), but to keep past data from the last two hours
In that case you'll need to create a macro that will copy and paste the data somewhere else every two hours.
Check out the 'On Time' syntax in VBA
cheers richard. Will give it a quick look but may be too complex for my liking
