12 month rolling data in pivot

    Hi

I'm trying to put together a rolling 12 month pivot table. I have the below data (it's in a pivot table) which i'd like to change to the last 12 months. So, Jun 2012 is the sum of Jul11:Jun12. Can this be done with a pivot or do i need to handle it in the data first?

    Thanks.

    Hi Spinkunk,

Find attached with the Pivot Table you want. Please update your profile to say which version of Excel you have. The attached was done with Excel 2010 that has more Pivot Table options and is easier to use.

I believe you will need to arrange your data like I have it to do what you require.

    thanks for the reply.

i'm using 2010 too. What you have does work but you've fixed the date in the pivot date filter. That would mean it not only needs maintaining each month (to move the month forward) but also only ever show the last 12 months.

what i'm after is to be able to view that last 3 years of data and for each month show the value for the previous 12 months (hope that made sense). Ideally the layout has to retain month as the column titles in this case because i'm want to view a range of years.

this show me the last 12 months of sales for each month for the last 3 years....

sounds like it might be a bit more tricky than i'd anticipated.
