What is the most efficient way to continuously add numbers in a cell over time? I have to update a stock sheet daily but just want to enter in the new number and have it add to yesterdays number for each item. Does that make sense?

If you don't want to keep the entire history of prior days' numbers, then the only way to do this automatically is with a macro. I have attached a simple example.
