I was wondering is it possible to set some rules when a specific date appears on a worksheet you can have text to appear in any or specified Cell.

eg.

any cell = 25/12/2012
Specified Text = Public Holiday
I want the specified text to appear in B1 or any cell i choose when any cell contains that specific date.

so lets say that the date 25/12/2012 appears up in cell C6 and i want the specified text to pop up in the cell below that or in any cell that i want.

I'm using this for a calender or time book. Instead of entering the text manually every year, i want the spread sheet to recognize dates that i specify as eg. public holidays as a set of rules.

Its almost like conditional formatting but instead of colors i want text to display.

Any help on this would be appreciated.
