Excel 2007 : Autofilterand subtotal

I have a problem with Autofilter, since it keeps showing other Item that are not suppose to be there when I use the Autofilter

I have a SUBTOTAL formula i am using and when I filter by Item it keeps showing a extra item.

Every time I filter (on a column which doesn't have the SUBTOTAL formula in it, the autofilter doesn't work)

It's a known bug in Excel that it does this. If you add a formula ="" in the blank cell under your item list and keep blanks unchecked it should be okay. The formula is just a reminder that something is there, you could just enter a space with the space bar.
