Well IMO the easiest would be the Forms Control checkbox.

Once you put the checkbox on your worksheet >> Right click the control >> Format Control >> Protection tab >> uncheck locked

Can you post a sample workbook and show what you have, what you want, and what you are trying to achieve?

    To Attach a File:

    1. Scroll down to the window below your post Additional Options
    2. In the frame Attach Files you will see the button Manage Attachments
    3. Click the button.
    4. A new window will open titled Manage Attachments - Excel Forum.
    5. Click the Browse... button to locate your file for uploading.
    6. This will open a new window File Upload.
    7. Once you have located the file to upload click the Open button. This window will close.
    8. You are now back in the Manage Attachments - Excel Forum window.
    9. Click the Upload button and wait until the file has uploaded.
    10. Close the window and then click Submit.

    Hi

right i think/hope the dummy sheet is attached?

if so the password to unlock protection is 1234

if you click on the yes/no (check) box whilst protected it shouldn't let you?

(but i would like to be able to!)

    thanks

    How about this...

    The easiest method.

I moved the checkbox to cell C9 the linked cell and turned the font to white.

With your cursor in that cell >> Ctrl + 1 >> Protection tab >> uncheck locked

    Now protect the sheet.
