Question Pivot Tables / Pivot Chart Data

    Hello All,

I am fairly new to pivot tables, and have only ever used examples with transactional data.

However, I now have a list of regions and a list of rates, these the rates change monthly. I need this data displayed in a pivot table and eventually a pivot chart for ease of comparison.

I do not know how to achieve what I want! - I've attached an image file of the graph which I need to produce, clearly I would want to add / remove regions as and when necessary, there are onl 2 on there as an example.

    Please help!!

    Thank you so much.

You need to change the layout of your data in order to feed a pivot table/chart.

I've done 3 months to illustrate.

Not sure I understand the question.

You would change the layout of all your data, not just the 3 periods I did. Quickest way is problem copy/paste.

The revise the source data of the pivot table to use all the new data. Refresh the pivot table.

Select the Pivot table and use, Pivot Table Tools > Options > Data > Change Data source.

If you convert your source data in to a Table and link the pivot table to it then the expansion for new data should be automatic.

    Who mentioned right click?

The descriptive trail is for the Ribbon.
