I have a user trying to use the "Allow Users to Edit Ranges" within Excel. When this is completed Excel comes back with the "Microsoft Office Excel has stopped working" And the option is to Restart the program. We can go through the steps to select the range and set the passwords, but after the final password it crashes.
We are on a Windows 7 32-bit device running Office 2007. We have tried this on existing workbooks and blank workbooks, and get the same error. I can run "Allow Users to Edit Ranges" on a Windows 7 32 (and 64) bit device that is running Office 2010, just not 2007. I can how ever run this on a Windows XP device with Office 2007/
I have uninstalled the full Office Suite and reinstalled and get the same error.
I have checked with other users with the same Windows 7 and Office 2007 and they all get the same error.
