    Inaccurate print preview

I wanted to increase the size of a spread sheet to tabloid. When I change the paper type and print it; it prints the spread sheet on tabloid paper, but the document itself is still the size it was on letter sized paper. When I try to increase the size of the print to fill the tabloid, even though it's on tabloid paper and there should be plenty of room, it acts as though it's still on letter size and laps over to two or more pages. When I check the document in print preview it shows it filling the tabloid page, but when I print it; it's still tabloid paper, but prints the document out as though it were printing on letter with lots of space around the document.

I need to do this for a work project; can anyone advise me as to what's going on?

    Thanks!

This is a very basic solution, but I assume you selected the tabloid layout in page setup?

I did, but it didn't help. I did get it to do what I wanted though; I went to Other Paper; chose tabloid and then used the Scaling function. It worked.

    Thanks for your suggestion though!
