Problem inserting pictures from list

I have a football fixture list with date, home venue and away team for each of Manchester United’s games next season. I also have a lookup table with each team’s badge. I’m trying to get the badge of each team appear when a date is selected from a dropdown list. This is or should be fairly straight forward. As you can see from the attached example, I have put two ‘holding pics’ in the places where I want the home and away team badge pictures to appear and named each of those accordingly with the ‘refers to’ completed with INDEX and Match functions to find the appropriate badge. However, when I select a holding pic and try and input the same ‘named name’ in the formula bar, I get the error message, ‘Reference is not valid’, but it is! Any ideas anyone?
