    Re: Sorting Help

You need to specify that your table has headers.
You can do this using "Custom Sort".

    Re: Sorting Help

    Hello
I think you just want to sort the field#1 and NOT Field#2 and Field#3 along with it.

    sort.GIF

now if your sorting that includes fields#2&#3
your sort is correct (it's not duplicating the field it's that its the correct values that goes along with the sorted field#1..

as a proof i extracted (thru copy/paste this 4 consecutive sorted values #1#2#3 fields)

they have really same fields #2 and Field#3 values

    hth.

    Re: Sorting Help

Can you provide an example of how you would like the data to look like so we can better understand what you are asking?

If you sort the data as is, the result you and we are getting is correct. However it seems that you want to get rid of certain entries?

Note that for a number of the Field 1 entries, the Field 2 and 3 entries are meant to be the same. I.e. certain companies are run by the same organization.

    Thanks to All.

Finally dip11 has focused my head on the actual value of the field. He is right there is no any duplication in sorting but the values are like which seems to be duplicated.

Again very much thanks to dip11,vlady.
