Sorting a sheet by column len

Hi, I need to sort sheet by column len. What I did:
1) In new column I have length of desired column (LEN function is used)
2) Than I go to Data - > Sort -> Select Column(column with length is selected) -> Done

But data is not sorted correctly. What I did wrong, please help.

Did you select both the column to be sorted AND the column that contains the Len function? Then did you sort by the column containing the Len function rather than the original column?

You need to select the entire set of data while sorting, else only the selected column will get sorted. Please select the column preceding the LEN function column too while sorting.
