=SUMIFS(B1:B6,A1:A6,">2",A1:A6,"<5")
or
if you want to use a reference for the ranges...
=SUMIFS(B1:B6,A1:A6,">"&D1,A1:A6,"<"&E1)
D1 >> 2
E1 >> 5

Thanks, can this be acheived by linking into a cell instead of saying ">2", can I select a cell so that the amending the accounts code can be flexible. Tried referencing a cell, but no joy???
